Mission Statement

Our Clinical Psychology Doctoral Internship Program aligns with DSH-M's mission to collaborate with patients on their journey to recovery, utilizing rehabilitation services as a catalyst for community reintegration. We aim to train interns in evidence-based, culturally competent therapeutic and rehabilitation services. Guided by the Local-Clinical-Scientist model, our program emphasizes evidence-based and scholarly informed practice, merging empirical data, clinical expertise, and awareness of population-specific needs to inform intervention selection. Based on their chosen rotation, interns will cultivate skills in areas such as forensic psychology, neuropsychology, psychological assessments, and the treatment of severe mental illness.
