About the Area
The Department of State Hospitals (DSH) - Metropolitan is located in the suburban residential community of the city of Norwalk, 15 miles east of Los Angeles. Located on 162 park-like acres, the hospital services a catchment area of seven million Los Angeles and two million Orange County residents. The area is rich in resources, cultural opportunity and contemporary entertainment possibilities.
