- Are hugs allowed during visits?
Hugs are allowed at the beginning and the end of the visit. No other contact is allowed. - What is the duration of each scheduled visit?
Each visit is scheduled for 45 minutes, unless prior arrangement is approved. - What is the schedule for visits - in person and televisit?
Sunday - Mornings Physical & Afternoon Televisit
Monday - Televisit
Tuesday - Physical
Wednesday - Televisit
Thursday - Televisit
Friday - Physical
Saturday - Physical - Are we able to provide both in person and televisits more frequently? Any proposed change to the current schedule?
Visiting Times are scheduled from 0900-1100 (Last visit in the morning ends at 1145)
Afternoon visiting times are 1330-1530 (Last visit in the afternoon ends at 1615) - Food allowed? Drinks allowed?
DPS does not allow food and drink in the visiting room. Vending machines are for visitors before or after they visit. - Walk-ins allowed?
No. - Is there a phone number in the Visitor's Center for families to call if needed? (For visit inquiries)
No, DPS does not have a capability to take phone calls from families, as we are not allowed to confirm if the patient is here. - Are 410 LPS patients handled differently from the other PC visits?
No, but LPS will be separated from any penal code patient. - Are patients in Program 7 allowed in-person visits?
No, televisits only.
As a reminder - special requests, times, and length are approved on a case-by-case basis.
